The next meeting will be held April 11th, 6:30PM at the Agawam Public Library. After a short business meeting Alex Sherman, Forester for the City of Springfield, will speak on “Urban Forestry” an important topic considering a changing climate and increasing urban populations. Mr. Sherman has a degree in Forest Ecology from the University of New Hampshire and in Urban Forestry from the University of Massachusetts. He also holds a professional certificate in Geographic information systems and is a Massachusetts certified arborist. All meetings are open to the public and not restricted to Agawam residents.
